Our world is incredibly complex and is sustained by consistent laws. Junior High Science begins with the premise that God is the Creator, and with this knowledge, students pursue an in-depth, progressive study of life, physical, and earth sciences.  The scientific method is studied with opportunities to experiment and collaborate with classmates. Curriculum is supported with Prentice Hall Science Explorer Discoveries, Science Investigations, Science Adventures, and the Bible.

In the scope and sequence of the science curriculum, topics include:

Freshwater, Freshwater resources, Ocean Motion, and Ocean Zones.
7th Population in an ecosystem, Interaction among communities of an Ecosystem, Habitats, Abiotic and Biotic Factors, and The systems of the human body.
Chemical Reactions, Atoms, Molecular Structure, Chemical Bonds, Waves, Sound, Electromagnetic Spectrum, and Light.
Earth Surface, Weathering, Erosion, Deposition, Soil Formation, and the Universe.
8th Mendel’s Work, Genetics, the Cell and Inheritance, DNA and RNA, Genetic Disorders, and Advances in Genetics.
Motion, Forces, Work and Machines, Magnetism and Electromagnetism, Electrical Charges and Current, and Magnetic Fields. Tectonic Plates, Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Minerals, Rocks, Atmosphere, Weather factors and patterns, Climate Changes, and Earth’s Resources.
